What is Your Empire?

Your Empire is a free browser strategy game for desktop and phone. You begin as a young ruler of a randomly generated country with 10 to 30 neighboring real cities. The world contains 4,396 real cities and their borders, while empires, peoples, rulers and religions are invented

Your decisions come through events: wars, revolts, plagues, discoveries and more. Each offers 2 to 6 choices, with immediate effects shown as arrows and icons and later consequences left unknown. The pool holds 10,000 events across 23 kinds. Other empires face the same events under bot rulers, and technology can advance from medieval life to factories and railways within one reign

A game takes 30 to 60 minutes at normal speed, with pause and faster speeds available. The server saves your reign so you can leave and resume later. When the ruler dies, the run ends with a shareable final card and a chronicle. Guest play needs no download or account, and the game is available in 13 languages

How to play Your Empire

Start a new reign to receive a young ruler and an empire on the map. Look over your cities and neighbors, then choose how to respond when an event arrives. The game pauses while you decide, and each event offers 2 to 6 options

Read the immediate effects before choosing: an option can change the treasury, army, stability or other parts of your empire. At normal speed a year takes 30 seconds, excluding pauses, with one major event each year and a second in about half of years. Pause or use speeds x1, x2, x5 and x10 as needed

Keep ruling through wars, plots and discoveries until your ruler dies. Review the final card and chronicle, compare your reign on the leaderboards, or start again with a new country and ruler
