Who we are
We make word games. We built this catalog to answer one question: what to play when today's Wordle is done. Our own four games are part of the answer, but far from all of it, so the catalog lists 70 games and sorts them by what they change
Top Picks are our own games
The four games at the top of the catalog are made by our team: Worduel, WorDungeon, Transwordle, Wordle Blast. They sit in Top Picks because they are ours, not because of a test or a score, and every page that shows them marks them as Top Picks
Links to our own sites are ordinary links. Links to every other site carry rel="nofollow", and games that came through Submit carry rel="nofollow ugc"
How we pick games
The catalog started from a list of 70 Wordle alternatives our team put together for worduel.gg. On October 17, 2026 we opened each game on it, other than our own, and checked that it could be played for free at least in part
Descriptions stick to what we saw: modes, platforms, price and languages as the games themselves present them. When we don't know something, we leave it out instead of guessing
Categories group games by what they change compared with Wordle: more boards, new rules, other subjects, other people. A game can sit in more than one category
New games come through Submit. A person reviews every request, and a game is listed only while its site carries our badge with an ordinary link
How links are checked
Every night a script opens the site of every listed game and, for games that carry our badge, checks that the badge and its link are still there. It changes nothing by itself: the results go to the site owner, who decides what to do. Each game page shows the date its link last opened in our check
The script introduces itself as WordleLikeBot/1.0, opens one page at a time per site and reads at most a couple of megabytes
Ratings
Visitors can rate any game from 1 to 5 stars, one vote per person, and can change the vote later. An average appears only once 5 people have voted. When our editor rates a game, that rating is labeled as the editor's
We never show made-up numbers: no invented votes, reviews or player counts
