What is Hold?

Hold is a free daily video poker puzzle on Mind Loft. You are dealt five cards, choose which to keep, and the draw replaces the rest from the 47 cards left in the deck. Each hold is valued by its exact expected return, so the best hold is a fact rather than a matter of luck

You get one point for each hand where your hold has the best expected return, out of ten hands a day and fifteen on Sundays. After each draw you see your hold, the best hold and the runners-up with their values. The pay table is only used to value each hold, and the site says nothing on Mind Loft requires an account

How to play Hold

Tap the cards you want to keep, or none, then press Draw, and compare your hold with the best one shown after each hand
